“The Colorful Mistresses of Alamo Square”

In August I took a trip to San Francisco to attend a Travel Writer/Travel Photographer Conference. This was my first trip to the west coast since a work visit in the 1990’s. I was able to see quite a bit of the city in the short time I was there; Fisherman’s Wharf, Coit Tower, Alcatraz. Lombard Street, walk across the Golden Gate Bridge had two Irish Coffees at The Buena Vista and, of course, visit the Painted Ladies. What I did not get a chance to do was ride the Hyde Street Cable Car, or take a tour of Alcatraz. However a trip into Napa Valley and two wine tours made up for these misses!!
